Experiences

Kentucky Black Bourbon Guild

A great experience, a good opportunity to find like minded people all looking to fellowship over a good pour of Bourbon!

Green River Distilling Co.

A fun, quick day trip perfect for a family outing. A perfect oppourtunity to learn a little Bourbon history and it never hurts to stumble into some good pours along the way ;)

Brough Brothers Distillery

The first black owned disillery in the state of Kentucky. Family owned, Black owned, Veteran owned, and Locally owned. Quite literally the American Dream, three brothers making good bourbon in the neighorborhood they grew up in!

So honored to be able to do tastings and events all across Central Kentucky with such a good bunch of guys.

Suchhhhhh a pretty corner of the world and the most lovely people. I had the pleasure of speaking on a panel for Bourbon Women and very last minute ( like I had 4ish days) to supply a barrel pick, and I prepared for the worst. And I was so wrong, the team jumped right into action and made sure that by the time my panel happened, I had an amazing pick 🥳

Urban Conniosseurs

The mission of the group is to set out to affect sustainable growth in the wine community by increasing the number of American winemakers of African descent in the US, and create opportuities for the next generation and that is EXACLTY what they are doing. Cannot sing their praises enough🙌🏾

Bridge Builders Initiative

An AMAZING trip that gives HBCU students the ability to tour Black Owned vineyards and wineries all across this country. I was able to represent KSU and fellowship with FAMU and Tuskegee to learn all about Black winemakers from all the world.

We spent a week traveling old wine country and the coast of California having all the wine, fellowshipping and learning a little in the between time!

Bourbon Hall of Fame 2024

This is an annual event, hosted by the Kentucky Distillers Association.  Established in 2001, this event was created to spotlight the movers and shakers of Kentucky Bourbon. I was fortunate enough to be invited and bring Kentucky State University students, to witness such history!

Just me in my element 🥰
